The Dow Marketing Development Program (MDP) places you in the middle of marketing strategy, product planning, field communications, innovation and marketing research analytics. The Program is targeted to individuals who are interested in developing a marketing career within a large, global organization but also enjoy working in a small-team environment. As we enter a new age of marketing, you are expected to have a strong appreciation of Marketing fundamentals and disciplines with the enthusiasm to apply learnings in the day to day.

The objective of the program is to allow you to see firsthand Dow's inclusive culture and chart your career path in the commercial organization. Our goal is to develop a powerful employment pipeline of future marketing leaders with an appreciation for integrating their academic and professional experiences. Relationship development is critical as you work collaboratively across functional teams including Sales, TS&D, Finance and others. Having the mindset of an entrepreneur is welcome. Being a self-starter is required. Marketers work both internally and externally to bring new products to market, communicate value propositions and set the company's short-term and long term portfolio goals. Customer relationships are in the business-to-business (B2B) environment and will be both large and small. Marketing occurs both upwards and down the value-chain and will extend to B2C relationships.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a Business related major such as Marketing, Entrepreneurship or Military Degree Equivalence (at or above a U.S. E6 ranking)
  • A minimum GPA of 2.700 (4.000 scale).
  • Core Competencies of a successful candidate include excellent business skills, understand value creation, have an innovative spirit, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • A minimum requirement for a U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Successful MDP's will begin their career in Midland, MI. Domestic relocation likely after the completion of the program (4-6 months) to a Dow sales hub (Midland, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Philadelphia). Personal transportation is a requirement.
