Caterpillar's Building Construction Products (BCP) Division is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis accountant to support the Compact Wheel Loaders (CWL) and Small Wheel Loaders (SWL) product groups. This position performs monthly results reporting and analysis, annual business planning and quarterly forecasting, and decision support accounting work. It's a great opportunity to gain product knowledge and expand understanding of Caterpillar's business and accounting practices, systems, and procedures.

What You Will Do:

  • Internal management accounting, including profit center reporting
  • Estimating various forecast and budget scenarios as needed based on changing business conditions.
  • Financial accounting including consolidation, analysis, and communication of product group results.
  • Presentation and explanation of results to management
  • Communication of results to corporate offices
  • Interacts with multiple functional areas and level of authority.
What You Have:
  • Education/ Experience : This position typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance and 1+ years of job related experience.
  • Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports. Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify
