Location: 550 South 16th St, Lincoln NE

Schedule: 8am - 5pm; M-F
Examples of Work
• Review and interpret data on vouchers, invoices, and other source documents to ensure the information is accurate and complete in compliance with established agency policies and procedures.

• Work with vendors/customers to resolve invoice and statement discrepancies.

• Perform and process multi front-end transactional accounting processes including entering data onto forms and other accounting databases, ensuring proper coding.

• Work with other finance staff with processing bi-weekly payroll.

• Compile and analyze data for program managers.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Associates degree in accounting, finance, business administration, statistics or related field and experience with accounting/financial management systems OR 2 years' experience with professional accounting procedures including developing and modifying accounting/financial management systems.

PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration or related field. Experience with State Accounting System (E1) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of: State Accounting System (E1); professional accounting principles, theories, and practices; generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), practices and standards; research practices and techniques; accounts payable; record keeping methods; Microsoft Office Word, Outlook and Excel; computerized accounting software; federal and State laws and regulations applicable to accounting/finance operations.

Skill in: compute and compile financial data; accurate data entry.

Ability to: apply the principles of accounting, statistics, and fiscal management; learn and apply the principles and concepts of specific agency programs, policies and operating details of an accounting system; meet deadlines; maintain regular and reliable attendance; effectively communicate information to others.
