<b>Job Description:</b><br><br> We are seeking an Accountant III for a very important client.<br><br>A DAY IN THE LIFE:<br>- Perform monthly closing activities including journal entries, accruals, reporting and analysis <br><br>- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and recommend necessary adjustments<br><br>- Ensure compliance with U.S GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, company policy, approval authority matrix and standard operating procedure<br><br>- Support internal and external audit requirements <br><br>- Exercise sound data stewardship - following data policies (retention, privacy, security) and detailing procedures <br><br>- Drive continuous improvement and use systems to increase controls and efficiencies <br><br>- Ensure effective data security and controls within ERP, financial systems, and data flows <br><br>- Other ad hoc requests as necessary<br><br><b>Requirement:</b><br><br>The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:<br><br>KEYS TO SUCCESS:<br><br>EDUCATION<br>- An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or Accounting (required)<br><br>EXPERIENCE<br>- Prior experience in a high-volume accounting environment (AR & AP emphasis a plus) within a matrixed organization.<br><br>- Working knowledge of ERPs required, specific experience with Oracle R12 preferred<br><br>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES<br>- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (required)<br><br>- Excellent understanding of financial accounting standards and internal controls <br><br>- Excellent attention to detail, as accuracy is required in performing all aspects of the role<br><br>- Highly motivated individual with excellent communication, computer, and organization skills<br><br>- Proficient verbal and written communication skills<br>#PandoPandoLogic.
