About this position

Join us in our QBO Client Accounting & Advisory Services Team! We are 100% focused on being the outsourced accounting department for fast growth small and medium sized enterprises (SME's) throughout the Western US, providing professional level accounting and financial reporting to help these SME owners achieve their business dreams. We are 100% focused on QBO and on utilizing leading edge Applications (Apps) from 3rd parties to automate and create a more scalable solution.

You will be utilizing your strong QBO knowledge, technical and operational accounting skills and your client / team relationship and consultative problem-solving skills, to make our clients financials come to life for them. You will be a key person in growing and developing our CAAS professionals into successful SME Controllers to better help our clients understand their business. You will have input into streamlining our workflow processes to improve your teams' professional lives and to enrich their professional lives by teaching them how to tell the financial story our client's books and records are trying to tell. Your technological curiosity, ability to inspire others and your solid accounting skills will be critical to your success.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties
  • Be a top-notch career advisor to our CAAS Staff and help enable them to successfully do the entire financial close process for our small fast growth clients, including the financial story to be told at the end of each period.
  • Help us create a scalable model of service delivery ensuring that each fast growth small business we have is more successful in achieving their dreams because of the type of advisory accounting we provide for them.
  • Be a leader in effective and efficient communications, both with our staff and our clients so that everyone has the comfort that comes from well thought out discussions, emails and other communications.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy and meaning of the financial information we provide, through your insightful month end review, using our leading-edge workflow tools.
  • Ensure our processes, policies and leading-edge video training tools are effective, followed and meaningful to the staff that rely on them.
  • Participate on occasion in new client development with upper management; participate in client meetings, presentations and thought leadership.
  • Develop overall engagement budgets and help work with the team to learn how to use them effectively to enable successful engagement economics.
  • Responsible for billing and engagement performance.
  • Train and mentor staff.
  • Help foster a team environment; demonstrates support of management and decisions and build assist us in building our 100% remote and positive team culture.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degreein accounting or related field
  • 3-6 years industry accounting experience or 2-5 years CPA firm experience
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience
  • Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
  • Must have professionally appropriate remote workspace
  • Must be highly proficient with QBO 2 - 5 years' experience
  • Be process oriented with inspiring leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • An active CPA or equivalent certification
  • Experience with technology implementations and conversions
  • Experience with process improvement
  • A track record of inspiring teammates and clients
  • A track record of leadership and helping others grow
  • Experience creating scalable processes in a fast growth environment
