Posting Summary:

The OPSG provides high-level administrative support to the Administrative Director, Cancer Center leadership, and staff. This includes, but is not limited to, data collection, analysis, and management of processes based on diverse needs of external organizations, boards, funders, or leadership. This position is the primary point of contact for web updates for all functional areas of work at the UVMCC, employing creativity and technical expertise. The UVMCC has many diverse boards, community outreach, and education activities as well as conferences and seminars. This position plans and provides technical support for meetings and activities and serves as a backup point of contact for communications and events staff in other areas of event planning and execution. A primary function of the UVMCC is grant support and annual reporting. This position assists leadership with grant submissions and annual reporting for complex, multi-author projects and reports. The UVMCC prioritizes philanthropy and the support of donor relationships. This position provides support and organization for activities acknowledging third-party donors, new donors, and honor/memorial donors. Additional administrative support is provided in areas of business administration and other general administrative duties.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):

Associates degree and one to three years of related experience required. Proficiency with software applications used to support office functions, and familiarity with internet resources required. Effective written and verbal communication skills required.

Desirable Qualifications:

Prior experience in an academic/research environment. Proficiency with PeopleSoft Finance,Human Resources, and PeopleAdmin. Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Other Information:

A six-month probationary period is required.
