About Us

An affiliate of Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, Mass General Brigham Urgent Care serves as a convenient and affordable urgent care option for those living and working in the Greater Boston area. Our qualified, friendly health care providers treat adults and children (age 3 and up). From coughs and colds to cuts and broken bones, our providers offer great care for a range of illnesses and injuries in clean, modern centers. We know urgent medical situations often happen unexpectedly, so our Boston-area Mass General Brigham Urgent Care clinics seven days a week. Most Mass General Brigham Urgent Care visits last less than an hour, so our patients can get back to what matters.

General Summary

We are seeking Advance Practice Providers (Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners) for our Urgent Care system. We are hiring for both full-time and part-time schedules. Each position can have varying shift lengths and monthly shift requirements.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a Physician Assistant Program or Nurse Practitioner educational program, which includes clinical training in family medicine, urgent care, emergency medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, or another specialty.
  • 1 yr. + in Urgent Care or emergency department preferred
  • 1 yr. + Clinical experience that includes the care of pediatric patients (3 years and older) preferred
  • State medical license (MA required, NH preferred)
  • DEA license
  • State-controlled substances license (if applicable)
  • Be able to treat patients in a solo practice environment
  • Experience in procedures including suturing and splinting preferred
  • Experience in reading diagnostic studies, including x-rays and EKGs, preferred
  • BLS certification
  • In good standing with previous employers, state licensing and medical boards
  • Experience treating workers' compensation cases preferred
  • Experience treating occupational health cases preferred
  • Must be able to speak and write English fluently
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection
  • Previous experience providing virtual care preferred
  • Willing to work in both traditional urgent care environments and on a virtual care platform.
