Job Description

Our aluminum extrusion operation is in need of an experienced leader within the industry who values customer satisfaction, possesses leadership qualities and has demonstrated success in a similar role. This role will encompass many facets of production management in accordance with our high quality standards. The supervisor will be expected to drive continuous improvement while upholding KPI expectations and ensuring the safety of our workforce.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyzes productivity and quality trends; develops plans and procedures to improve performance.
• Coordinates daily production with Master Scheduler and Customer Service team to maximize output and customer satisfaction.
• Partners with maintenance team to troubleshoot technical issues as they arise with equipment (presses/ovens/saws).
• Determines manpower requirements, resolves scheduling and capacity issues.
• Works with production scheduling & materials to maintain adequate material flow.
• Sets work schedule and determines overtime requirements for work force.
• Interfaces with support organization management.
• Champions ideas and drives culture towards continuous improvement.
• Implement measures to motivate employees and improve morale and engage them in the day to day operations and goals of the business.
• Maintain and oversee 5S workplace standards.
• Conducts/supervises problem solving meetings, ensures prompt follow-up/implementation of solutions.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws, including: interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Liaise with quality management team to ensure quality standards are met and engages team in continuous improvement solutions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 5-10 progressive roles within the aluminum extrusion industry.
• 3-5 years in a leadership role.
• Excellent technical capabilities, mechanically sound with a background in equipment repair and troubleshooting.
• Ability to react and make sound decisions as it relates to production ebbs and flows.
• The skill set to motivate a team and work well under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to change direction and minimize distractions.
• Excellent pc skills and ability to multitask.
