SUMMARY

The Twiflex Application Engineer (TAE) is expected to master standard application engineering practices for power transmission systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Satisfy customer requirements for technical information and application calculations in a timely manner.
• Answer product related technical questions required to select, recommend, and troubleshoot Twiflex products.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervisor and produce highly accurate work within defined time frames.
• Be familiar with Twiflex technical information to provide literature corrections and updates as required.
• Master standard power transmission calculations related to Twiflex products.
• Follow department procedures in all aspects of documentation control including engineering changes/releases, document archiving and releasing information to customers.
• Safeguard confidential and proprietary information in accordance with company policy.
• Continually strive to improve procedures, recommend cost reductions and eliminate errors in engineering documentation.
• Represent the company to customers in a professional manner.
• Other duties as required.

• Extensive knowledge of power transmission equipment.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to perform algebra, trigonometry, and geometry calculations.
• Knowledgeable of Twiflex and competitive products regarding product strengths, weakness, and application limitations.
• Ability to train others.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively, both written and verbally, to personnel at all levels of an organization.
• Operate a PC, Microsoft Office, and 3D CAD system.

Education and Experience Requirements

• S.M.E. required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit for up to eight (8) hours, stand for up to one (1) hour, and walk around for about two (2) hour. The employee will frequently move up to ten (20) pounds, occasionally move up to twenty (40) pounds. The employee will perform the following activities; frequently be reaching, occasionally be stooping, crouching, and handling.

The work environment is mostly in an office setting doing sedentary work, occasionally maybe in a production setting.
