Apprentice CNC Machinist, 1st shift

Brake Supply is growing! With the recent acquisition of Perfection Hydraulics, Brake Supply now has an opening for an Apprentice CNC Machinist at our Perfection Hydraulics location.

Job responsibilities of the Apprentice CNC Machinist:

* Manufacture precision parts used in the surface and underground mining machinery, as well as industrial markets

* Ability to read and comprehend information on orthographic blueprints, as well as comprehend geometric dimensioning and tolerances.

* Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls as required.

* Capable of following quality control plans, special instructions, as well as, following direct supervision instructions.

* Set up and run parts using CNC mills and lathes

* Use precision measuring devices to ensure proper sizing

* Maintain cleanliness of work area and tooling

Job requirements of the Apprentice CNC Machinist:

* Currently enrolled in a trade school with courses in precision machining

* Basic mechanical knowledge and ability

* Strong mathematic skills

* Basic computer skills

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to interpret prints and drawings

* Ability to work independently
