The School of Science & Agriculture at Missouri Valley College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Science to begin work in August 2024. This position is a full-time, renewable, and non-tenure track appointment.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Must be able to teach Agronomy, Earth Science: Soils and Water, Earth Science: Geology, and the General Chemistry sequence. Other courses may be considered depending on qualifications.
• Faculty members are responsible for curriculum, teaching, service, scholarship, and related administrative activities that support the mission, values, and goals of the college.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Soils Science, Agricultural Science, Agronomy, or related field with at least 18 graduate credits in Agricultural Science required.
• Ph.D. in Agricultural Chemistry or related field is preferred.
• College-level teaching experience preferred.

Collegiality, professionalism, and a strong commitment to teaching excellence and the college mission are also necessary qualifications.
