  • have an immediate need for an Assistant Project Scientist to support our business operations out of our office in Exton, PA. The Scientist is responsible for providing support to the project team in executing all aspects of project work. Work assignments will typically relate to one or more of the following environmental services: site investigation, planning, remedial action implementation, long-term monitoring and maintenance, compliance, civil construction, report preparation, or other project areas as opportunities arise.

  • In a typical workday the Scientist can be expected to do the following:
    • Assist project team as assigned, being flexible to work at multiple levels and on multiple projects concurrently.
    • Support Project Plan preparation including Work Plans, health and safety plans, Quality Control Plans, Sampling and Analysis Plans, Quality Assurance Project Plans, Environmental Protection Plans, Waste Management Plans.
    • Prepare permit applications when required and prepare for field investigations/sampling events.
    • Identify equipment, materials, laboratories, and subcontractors required for project and work with Project Manager and Procurement.
    • Coordinate equipment, materials, laboratories, and subcontractors and ensure that Work Plans, SOPs, permits, and other regulatory requirements are followed for investigation and sampling events.
    • Maintain field forms and logbooks for sampling events, chains of custody for samples, and other related documentation.
    • Assist Construction Manager/Site Superintendent with project oversight to ensure all work elements are performed in accordance with Plans and Specifications, as well as permit or other regulatory requirements.
    Top candidates will have a bachelors degree from four-year college or university desired. A degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field is preferred with up to four years of experience in environmental services or remediation and/or training preferred. This position will require flexibility to travel extensively.
