Responsibilities

Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center Downtown is seeking a FT Days Assistant Manager of Lab Support Services. The Assistant Manager of Lab Support Services plans, executes and implements new test methodology, proscribes to all regulatory agencies, policies and procedures of Wellstar Health System, writes policies and procedures using standards developed by College of American Pathologists and Clinical and Laboratory Institute, trains, coaches, and disciplines staff, and assists manager for project planning, staffing schedules, quality assurance, process improvement, safety management, and other duties as assigned. The Assistant Manager maintains department in a state of perpetual readiness for Accreditation Inspection.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred.

Required Minimum Experience:
5 years of previous laboratory experience. At least 1 year of previous supervisory experience.
