POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility is to prepare clear, complete, and accurate application and shop drawings from rough or detailed sketches for forming and shoring layouts and custom formwork designs. Utilize AutoCAD or other drafting software to develop bill of materials and proof and update prints.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilize pre-engineered tables, graphs and data to design formwork and shoring layouts.
• Draft concrete formwork and shop drawings to current drawing standards
• Prepare Bill of Material
• Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results in cooperative and supportive manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• One to two years AutoCAD architectural or construction related drafting experience.

EDUCATION/EXPEREINCE:

Associate degree or equivalent

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Requires use of computers, drafting tools and measuring instruments.
• Good organizational and planning skills
• Basic PC skills
• Self-motivated, ability to work under general supervision, close attention to detail.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Maximum unassisted lift 35 lbs, average lift less than 10 lbs.
• Low physical effort required to sit, stand at files, bend, stoop, lift, and walk.
• Requires ability to use a keyboard, monitor and calculator.
• Requires the ability to communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Average office noise levels.
• Inside average office environment.
• No personal protective equipment required.
• Ambient temperature between 68• and 76•
