Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop different aspects of automation design such as: mechanical, electrical, safety, or PLC/HMI/robotic programming
  • Ensure all solutions comply with product design specifications
  • Generate revision-controlled design and user documentation
  • Participate in design reviews and present solutions to team and management
  • Troubleshoot, support and continuously improve existing automated solutions
  • Research and development of new, cutting-edge automation concepts
  • Collaborate with project teams across Nordson EFD.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)

Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and respectful interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be positive, detail/quality oriented, organized, analytical, multi-tasker, team oriented, and possess excellent time management/follow-up skills with the ability to prioritize and work proactively/effectively with minimal supervision in a fast paced, challenging environment.
  • Previous, hands-on automation experience involving robotics, electrical panel design, industrial controls, PLC and programming
  • Experience using 2D and 3D CAD design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
