Overview

The Bar & Entertainment Manager is responsible for activating the bar lounge and daily operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to organizing and conducting pre-shift and departmental meetings, scheduling and directing staff in their work assignments and interacting pro-actively and positively with guests. This role with also assist with the interviewing, selection, and training of associates.

Successfully manages the experience in Alma. Ambience and Atmosphere is key. Lights, music, and staging set the tone for the total Hotel Zachary Brand Experience.

The Bar & Entertainment Manager must have a passion for music and beverage to create exceptional activations and events. Detail oriented and organized. Increase traffic to our Bar and build PR opportunities.

Internal Partners - must be able to effectively plan, communicate, and operate events and activations with the support of Zapwater Communications, Director of Sales and Marketing at Hotel Zachary, Marquee Development, General Manager at Hotel Zachary, Mordecai, and the F&B team.

Floor Presence is one of the most important aspects of the position. Support of team and guest relations is critical. The Bar & Entertainment Manager will be manage the events and activations within Alma to ensure success.

Communication is key - all hotel and F&B staff must stay up to date and informed of all Bar events and activations.
Community Presence - must form partnerships in the Lakeview area.

Schedule to provide exceptional guest service within % of revenue guidelines.
Responsible for beverage cost and control.
Ensure partner VIPs are acknowledged and cared for.
Complete all Davidson training programs.
Attend weekly staff meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• Previous hotel food and beverage experience preferrred

• Time management skills

• Ability to lead and direct a team

• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members.
