Job Description

The Benefits Analyst provides transactional, administrative and technical support to maintain benefits and payroll data in the firm's HR information system (HRIS), acts as an operational resource to HR representatives, managers and employees, and provides support for the implementation and administration of the firm's employee benefit programs. Under the direction of the Director of Firmwide Benefits, the Benefits Analyst will help plan and administer employee benefit programs to align with the Firm goals and emerging legislative changes.

Representative responsibilities include processing and auditing all benefit transactions, administering Firm's policies on partner and employee leaves of absence, including counseling HR advisors and employees regarding leave procedures, determining eligibility for paid time off, Family Medical Leave, state-mandated leaves, subsidized short-term disability, short-term disability and long-term disability; advising employees on benefits-related issues for medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance programs, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts and retirement benefits and help promote work/life balance programs. Processing monthly benefit plan invoices; and responding to inquiries directed to the benefits mailbox. Other responsibilities include acting as point of contact with benefit providers managing disability and life insurance claims, managing the open enrollment process for Optional Life Insurance, establishing processes for opening health savings accounts; managing retroactive benefit deductions and other special deductions; providing administrative and technical support for open enrollment, responding to benefit surveys, and assisting with maintenance of benefits content on the firm's benefit portal.

Candidate should have at least 3+ years' experience administering employee benefit and wellbeing programs. Candidate should have in-depth knowledge of FMLA and pertinent federal and state regulations affecting employee benefits. Successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, experience using Microsoft Office, including advanced knowledge of Word and Excel, and technical expertise, with strong attention to accuracy and detail. Candidate should have a commitment to client service and professionalism and excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously and deadlines.
