RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Troy, MI that is seeking a Business Analyst (Junior to Mid-Level). As a Business Analyst working on software development projects, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions.Requirements Gathering and Analysis:- Collaborate with stakeholders (business users, product owners, developers) to understand their needs and translate them into clear and concise requirements
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and document analysis to elicit detailed functional and non-functional requirements
- Create user stories, use cases, process flows, and wireframes
- Prepare detailed requirement specifications, including business rules, data models, and acceptance criteria
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist in project planning by estimating effort, defining scope, and identifying risks
- Work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of requirements
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams
- Validate that the delivered solution meets the specified requirements
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide feedback
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the software development lifecycle
- Suggest enhancements to existing systems or processes
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban)
- Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar
- Experience working on software development projects (web applications, mobile apps, etc.)
- Knowledge of SQL databases and data modeling
- Knowledge of mockup/prototype design tools such as Figma
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
