The Finance & Analytics team at the Kansas City Regional Center is looking for a Business and Data Analyst to provide direct support and analysis to various areas of the business, specifically the Commercial Teams with additional emphasis on modal analytics. In this role, you will need to be able to evaluate anticipated / realized success levels of various business decisions through analysis of internal data. You will help determine key performance indicators for the business and create dashboard reporting for management to monitor performance and trends. You will be expected to establish and maintain strong relationships with the leadership team, specifically within Commercial Teams, to ensure timely resolution of issues and concerns as well as to increase content knowledge in areas of evolving focus. This role requires an organized individual with strong project management disciplines that can manage their workload and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment.

Our main priority continues to be the health and safety of our employees. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this position has the option to be remote until further notice. We will continue monitoring the circumstances and when we feel comfortable, this position will return to the office in Kansas City where you will have an opportunity to collaborate face-to-face with a talented and diverse group of peers

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates level of effectiveness of business decisions and current processes, specifically in the leads and small business functions of the business, through critical analysis of internal data and reporting
  • Proposes and implements enhancements based on data findings and continues to monitor success levels to drive growth and improvements in profitability
  • Utilizes internal reporting, database querying, and applicable tools, such as Power BI and Tableau to develop processes to track and analyze current focus areas
  • Develops and maintains reporting models to provide executive management insight into business performance and trends
  • Partners with internal departments to better understand drivers of trends and impact of business changes
  • Prepares and presents to various stakeholders regularly with updates on trends that could impact the Company's growth
  • Collaborates with leadership, develops, and maintains robust platform and lead optimization reporting and analytics

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a financial or business analyst capacity
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with data visualization tools, including, Power BI, Tableau, and SQL querying

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively present, influence, and consult with multiple stakeholders at a variety of levels
  • Able to make recommendations, articulate analysis and field questions and/or pushback from key internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven success in developing and communicating business recommendations and insights in an easy-to-understand way, leveraging data to tell a story
  • Values a diverse and exclusive work environment
  • Embraces entrepreneurial spirit in work through recognizing and capitalizing on opportunities and challenging the status quo
  • Logistics and supply-chain experience
  • Experience with data/financial analysis for a sales or operations organization
  • Familiarity with Python, R, or similar programming languages is beneficial
