Job Description

This is a remote position; the selected candidate can reside and perform the work from anywhere within the United States.

The Business Facing Marketing Science Analyst will collaborate with business and Data Science leaders to develop plans for analytic projects that tackle business problems that can be operationalized to drive tangible business value.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy test & learn methodologies, data science, and strategic marketing analyses across CRM, Digital and OLA marketing channels to optimize program tactics, broader strategy and the customer journey- collaborating with Marketing leads, constructing learning agendas, building marketing experiments, measuring performance and developing strategic analytic insights and stories.
  • Driving marketing analytics innovation - advancing novel 1st, 2nd and 3rd party data opportunities, evolving marketing media mix and attribution modeling, deploying advanced analytics, predictive modeling (customer and event-based propensity and segmentation), and developing innovative analytic solutions to drive new business growth across media.
  • Translate the needs of business customers to technical requirements for Data Scientist, Data Engineering and Business Intelligence teams.
  • Build work related to strategy, roadmap, critical metric definition, reporting and dashboards.
  • Support analytical projects from conception to completion with high velocity and quality, be cognizant of status, roadblocks and pace of project throughout and intensify as needed to ensure success and on-time delivery to business partners.
  • Deliver data-driven insights and 'tell the story' that enables strategic and operational decisions.
  • Mentor others and handle project finances.
  • Continuously enable to new solution trends and develop the skills for self and enable the practice to build the skills.

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience translating business needs to analytic solutions, influencing decisions through turning raw data into compelling stories, and completing the project life cycle through achieving measurable outcomes.
  • Proven experience working with complex data and analytics projects as the primary liaison with business partners/leaders
  • A proclivity for quantitative concepts, including academic/professional experience in one or more of the following fields: computer science, mathematics, finance, statistics, physics, engineering, biostatistics, cognitive or neurosciences, behavioral economics, econometrics
  • Ability to develop & manage relationships with business partners, partially through accountability, following up on requests and delivering on commitments. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure project success.
  • Thrives in a collaborative atmosphere and believe in the power of innovation through differing viewpoints
  • Ability to quickly ramp up on new domains and understand business needs
  • Strong business domain knowledge - customer experience, contact center performance, business analytics, sales/marketing analytics, data science
  • Familiarity with crafting and deploying reports with industry leading BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI or Cognos
  • Experience with data mining and programming languages such as SQL, Python or R
  • Experience in a hands-on analytical function, management consulting or corporate strategy, or a similar function preferred
  • 5+ years experience with CRM, Customer and Marketing Analytics
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, finance, or a quantitative subject area (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Mathematics, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Analytics: Hands-on experience with predictive modeling, segmentation, AI/ML and other advanced methods
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to connect-the-dots and synthesize stories, narratives and actionable recommendations from data.
  • Ability to take ambiguous business questions and solve them in a structured, hypothesis-driven approach
  • Excellent project management skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • High degree of curiosity and innovation, thought leadership, independence and resourcefulness
  • Experience with common Python modules including, Numpy, Scipy, StatsModels, Pandas, and Scikit-learn

Compensation:

The median level of salary compensation for this role is $109,000.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
