Location: Atlanta GA, Tampa FL, Indianapolis IN, Mason OH

Hours: M - F Standard Working hours

Travel: Hybrid (1-2 day onsite per week)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable HEDIS Specialist to join our provider consulting team to provide expert support to our provider community. This role includes understanding and communicating HEDIS measures, HEDIS data analysis, and quality improvement initiatives with the primary aim of optimizing Medicare STARS HEDIS performance.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Supports Elevance Health provider facing teams in provider group discussions on Medicare HEDIS measure improvement
  • Provide comprehensive consultation to provider groups concerning HEDIS measures and supplemental data, interpreting guidelines, and simplifying complex data for ease of understanding
  • Use of analytics tools to track, report and analyze HEDIS measures and identify supplemental data opportunities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of HEDIS specifications and reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure optimal data reporting and performance on HEDIS measures
  • Provide education and coaching to internal and external partners and collaboratives on effective strategies to improve HEDIS measure performance
  • Tracks outcomes and performance towards KPI's, compiles reports for leadership on activity
  • Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports
  • May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools
Required Qualifications:
  • Requires a BS/BA degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of HEDIS measures, reporting requirements, and performance improvement methodologies, and the ability to apply this knowledge in practical settings.
  • Experience working with provider groups on quality improvement projects focused on HEDIS measures preferred.
  • Knowledge of HEDIS specifications is a must, Medicare experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of HEDIS supplemental data types preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze complex medical data and translate this into meaningful, actionable information for provider groups.
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects involving provider groups and maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • This role requires a professional with a blend of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to effectively consult and guide provider groups on effective use and interpretation of HEDIS measures and supplemental data.
  • Intermediate SQL Experience is a must
  • Snowflake exposure preferred
  • Excellent public speaking experience preferred
  • Ability to manipulate large sets of data strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills strongly preferred
