* Job Title: *Buyer - Automotive Industry
* Location: *Webberville, MI - fulltime hybrid opportunity, 2 days remote, 2 days onsite
* Salary: *$65k-70k Base salary dependent on experience

We are a Machining Manufacturer of engine and drive train components for the automotive Industry. We have a diverse portfolio of Customers in the USA and Europe. We are looking for a qualified Commodity Buyer to monitor and identify the market on new opportunities for cost reduction and avoidance on automotive components and to manage negotiations - direct materials, equipment/capex, and subcontractors.
What You Will Be Doing PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Monitor the market in order to identify new opportunities for cost reductions and cost avoidance
-Manage negotiations Direct Materials, Equipment/Capex (when requested), Subcontractors
-Scout market for regional cost competitive solutions for direct materials.
-Identify preferred suppliers by commodity for North America
-Actively seek/execute cost savings and YOY agreements with supply base
-Coordinate supplier consolidation activities
-RFQ submissions, TCO review, negotiate, create contracts, issue Pos and follow up
-Managing price list adjustments, based on material and currency
-Support purchasing activities for new projects
-Support Operations in the procurement activities
-Run KPI reporting / monthly report
-Meet with suppliers as necessary on site and their facilities
What You Need for this Position MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

-Proven negotiation skills
- Experience in Manufacturing companies
- Experience in Purchasing Automotive sector
-Fluent in English
-Target oriented (KPIs)
-Leadership and decision-making skills
-Good knowledge of mechanical drawings
-Technical background with knowledge of manufacturing processes
