Motion Technologies is one of four ITT Value Centers focused on the Transportation industry. The Motion Technologies Value Center generates over $862M in revenues and is made up of three businesses.

Position Summary:

The buyer is responsible for interacting with customer service regarding ordering, expediting, and/or delaying piece parts and finished goods orders and vendor and PO management. This position is based in Hebron, KY USA.
Essential Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

• Convert Purchase req's into PO's and issue the Purchase and AdHoc Order's (User request, MRP driven, SAP)
• Request quotations for non-inventory items
• Order office supplies and control inventory
• Process and enter shipping requests for brake pads
• Create and update new and existing vendor information and process invoices in SAP
• Process intercompany ordering in SAP, placing orders, handling the rejections and proposed dates
• Process credit notes to ensure accuracy
• Handle administrative process (financial and supply chain) of returned goods
• Update delivery times from order confirmations coming from vendors
• Update PO status into shipping status base on forwarder and vendor information
• Enter, track, and update status of containers and shipment in SAP
• Manage pricing information: insert and update prices
• Make ship notes out of the invoices and container information

Position Requirements

Skills/Experience:

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Ability to operate calculators and weighing scales.
• Previous experience in buying/supply chain/logistics preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Computer experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Web applications and ERP systems; SAP experience preferred
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across organization, manage multiple priorities and balance workload in an efficient manner
