Essential Functions and Primary Duties

• Work closely with Client Team to support client retention and new business production
• Understand client or prospect needs and submit coverage specifications and obtain quotes from potential carriers
• Responsible for negotiations and transaction management with carriers/markets
• Serveas a member of CBIZ's Marketing Placement Team, to support the CBIZ Mid-Atlantic Sales/Service team with rating and placement of Select size accounts.
• Participate in efforts to design initiatives, programs, goals or commitments, monitor and provide CBIZ Leadership with carrier performance issues and updates and make suggestions and solutions to resolve performance issues
• Participate and support CBIZ's effort to achieve a year-over-year increase in direct and incentive commission rates and income including consolidation of business with Preferred Carrier Partners and Brokers
• Participate and help develop and implement, monitor and continuously improve a timely, comprehensive and thorough marketing placement process for renewal and new business account marketing
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 5 or more years' experience servicing and/or marketing small to mid-size accounts including on-line rating and marketing (placement)
• CISR, CIC, AAI and/or other industry professional designations are desirable
• Must possess solid business acumen, be a strategic thinker but also be able to handle the execution and details
• Superior negotiation skills, with experience in developing successful carrier / broker partnerships
• Superb time management, organizational skills and process management / delivery abilities
• Drive, determination, ingenuity and a relentless competitive nature are essential

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• At least 5 years of insurance carrier placement experience
• Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
• Advanced customer service skills
• Proficient use of applicable technology
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities
