Position Overview:

This position provides credible appraisals to internal and external clients by following the provisions of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and maintains sales data and valuation systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Applies approved appraisal practices and procedures to produce credible, reliable, and well supported value conclusions of real estate being appraised.
  • Produces concise reports supporting the market value of properties.Completes monthly and annual benchmark studies to support lending functions.
  • Physically inspects subject property and sales to verify property attributes.
  • Documents the pertinent characteristics of properties (size, condition, location, improvements etc.) to ensure they are accurately represented.

Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in ag business, business administration, finance, economics or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience as a Certified Appraiser.
  • Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license, preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal and state (Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin) laws, regulations and compliance requirements specific to the financial industry and Farm Credit.
  • Solid knowledge of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications and customer relationship management (CRM) programs.
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Solid knowledge of client service principles and practices.
  • Solid skill in developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships.
  • Solid skill in applying appraisal concepts.
  • Solid skill in maintaining confidential information.
  • Valid driver's license.
