WHAT YOU WILL DO AT SAPUTO

JOB SUMMARY: This position oversees the accuracy of inventories for product in stock, in transit, outbound, and inbound. Identifies and corrects inventory issues and ensures customer orders are accurately filled and specific shelf life requirements are met by performing the following duties under direction of the Department Manager and in conjunction with the warehouse coordinator, shipping clerk, and material handlers.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Partner closely with the warehouse coordinator to ensure warehouse inventory tasks are effectively monitored and managed.
  • Manage inventory control activities to include identifying, investigating, and resolving inventory discrepancies resulting from the use of exception codes.
  • Monitor and manage goods receipt zones as well as aged pick and putaway tasks.
  • Coordinates and performs cycle counting. Monitors and revises all aspects of cycle counting as needed. Maintains accurate records.
  • Reviews daily reports for accuracy. Makes adjustments for errors, damaged items and notifies management. Maintains communication with customer service.
  • Adjusts inventory files as needed. Issues documentation of deletions to the applicable departments and maintains updated files of all transactions.
  • Ensure interface accuracy. Monitor and manage inventories balance between EWM and ECC
  • Monitor in-transit inventory.
  • Performs all end of month adjustments, duties, and inventory procedures.
  • Prepares various reports at the end of each accounting period.
  • Assists with annual inventory counts.
  • Remains approachable and accessible to employees.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at all times. Maintains confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with the Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety guidelines to ensure that quality food products are handled accordingly in a sanitary production environment and delivered with superior protection to our customers and consumers.
  • Demonstrates safe and quality conscious work habits and follows all company policies and procedures
  • Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly. Assists others as needed.
  • Attend training sessions required in order to ensure system and process proficiency.
  • Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo values
  • Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIORNMENT
  • May be exposed to wet, hot, humid, and cold temperatures, moving machinery including forklift traffic, and noise levels exceeding 85Db
  • Regularly required to work in an office, warehouse, and production environment
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), required in a warehouse and production environment


WHO IS RIGHT FOR THE ROLE
  • 2 years in a warehouse inventory role, directly in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment
  • Excellent computer skills, including RF (radio frequency) handheld units, with word processing experience, spreadsheet applications, and specialized inventory control software programs (WMS), SAP preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory location managed warehouse operations
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to operate industrial warehouse equipment
