Position Information: Description

The mission of the College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines (CNPD) is to prepare future leaders, to advance human well-being and to improve quality of life for diverse populations, with an emphasis on rural communities in North Dakota, the region and beyond, through the provision of high-quality innovative inter-professional education, research and service. The College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines offers innovative online educational programs, a simulation laboratory, and a supportive student environment for both face-to-face and distance learning. Our federally funded Recruitment and Retention of American Indians into Nursing (RAIN) Program has successfully recruited, retained and graduated 221 BSN, 59 MS, and 1 DNP prepared American Indian nurses. The College of Nursing and Professional Disciplines highly values diversity in our faculty, students and staff at all levels of instructional support. The college consists of the departments of Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics, and Social Work. For these positions, we are looking for a Clinical Instructor to teach in our Undergraduate Nursing program.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • 90% teaching (including advising) in the PMHNP track teaching PMHNP courses
  • 10% service to department, college and/or university

The faculty member will teach and advise students in the Undergraduate BSN nursing program serve on various committees at the department, college and/or university level.

Minimum Requirements
  • Masters degree in Nursing
  • Unencumbered nursing license or license-eligible in ND & other states, as required
  • 2 years experience in long term care and/or acute care
  • Successful completion of a criminal history records check.

  • Teaching experience
  • Doctoral degree or entrolled in doctoral study
Minimum Hiring Salary

The annual salary for a 9 month contract is $62,900.

Work Schedule/Start Date

Start date is August 16, 2021. Work schedule will vary & be dependent on the class(es) taught.
