JOB DESCRIPTION

Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Set up manual and CNC equipment
  • Work from complex drawings, prototype sketches, electronic files and/or verbal instructions to facilitate the manufacturing of parts and assemblies by setting up and operating manual and CNC mills, lathes, and a variety of general machine shop equipment
  • Responsible for the fabrication of high precision parts and performing complex setups
  • Perform first part inspections
  • Recognize tool wear and replace or change worn tools
  • Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Communicate with supervisors, peers, or subordinates: provide information to supervisors and co-workers in written form or in person.
  • Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality.
  • Learn all jobs/products performed within the department.
  • Perform tasks assigned using specific operating procedures, and following department specific quality control processes and procedures.
  • Treat people with dignity and respect.
  • Conduct all business with integrity.
  • Adhere to Rust-Oleum corporation quality principles and participate in all departmental and company-wide quality activities.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Knowledge
  • English language - Ability to effectively communicate, both in written and spoken.
  • Minimum 3 years machining experience
  • Technical or Trade school preferred
  • Able to set up and operate CNC machines.
  • Knowledge of CNC and manual equipment capability and daily maintenance
  • Skill in using measuringtools such as calipers, micrometers and other inspection gauges
  • Skill in reading and interpreting documents such as work orders, drawings, internal and customer specifications, manuals, and safety regulations.
  • Understand machining process to achieve good surface finish and minimal burrs

Shift: 1st Shift (7am-3:30pm Monday - Friday)

Pay: $27.18/hour

Bonus: Eligible
