Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional CNC Machinist to join our TEAM! As Machinist we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of support such as produce metal parts for various machinery and follow standard operating procedures.

Primary Objective:

  • Creates and produces metal parts for the repair of mechanical and other equipment.

Major Function and Scope:

  • Produces metal parts for repair of mechanical and other equipment.
  • Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
  • Keeps supervisor informed of work in progress and any problem areas.
  • Keeps work area safe, clean, and organized.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Run both CNC Mill and Lathe Machines.

Experience and Knowledge Required

Knowledge of common metal properties:
  • 2 or more years of industrial machinist experience.

Competencies:

Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Good math skills. Knowledge of word processors and spreadsheets. Ability to read and write in English. Must be able to differentiate between various colors.
Ability to apply quality audit procedures and defect analysis in ceramic tile. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Strong leadership and team building skills. Basic computer skills
Ability to read and understand procedures in English. Ability to use machinist tools and other precision instruments. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may sit, climb or balance, talk or hear. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate may be exposed to the risk of electrical shock or vibration. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is usually loud.
