Description: Our client is currently seeking a COBOL DB2 Developer
Looking for an experienced Mainframe developer who can come up to speed on our existing legacy system (DB2), perform analysis of existing data structures/stored procedures in order to extract business rules that will then be coded into our Cloud application
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Strong hands on Mainframe DB2/SQL/COBOL/JCL skills is a must.
- Strong SQL skills are required. Familiarity with PostGres is a huge plus
- Strong analytical skills to understand existing SQL and procs and document to be coded in new system
- Any other expertise with Java/AWS/Python plus
- Curiosity to understand how the legacy system works and reverse engineer
