Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Tension Leveler Utility is to ensure safety for themselves and their teammates above all other considerations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring quality of material, loading and unloading of material on the tension leveling line, collecting samples, operating and maintaining the day to day performance of the tension leveling line, in addition to other various tasks in the Cold Mill to help take care of our customers.
This position requires rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years cold mill experience.
- Overhead crane experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Tension level line operations knowledge
Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
