We are presently searching for a Credit Analyst to become part of our growing team. The Credit Analyst will play a key role in recommending new credit and extensions of credit through research and analysis of financial documents. Credit Analyst Core Responsibilities -

  • Underwriting from start to finish with ability to produce Term Sheets, Approvals and Closing Memos.
  • Manage loan renewals, collateral calculations, lapsing insurance policies, and other loan document issues. (Implement default process)
  • Interact with clients (Agents/Borrowers) to address routine servicing matters and/or other related issues.
  • General monitoring of the loan portfolio, pipeline projection, carrier concentrations, financial weaknesses, and other risks to Bank.
  • Assist with Portfolio growth - being proactive with agents / carriers with renewal process to pay annual premiums.
  • Review and analyze financial statements including calculating performance ratios and financial covenants.
  • Review and analyze third party reports and data as well as complete independent research to analyze market conditions and assess collateral values
  • Review and track monitoring requirements for loans within our various portfolios
  • Prepare written presentations for credit requests fully assessing and exhibiting the request’s risk profile
  • Ensure compliance with established bank policies and procedures
  • Provide high-quality customer service in a courteous and professional manner consistent with our company philosophy
  • Assist co-workers in cultivating new business relationships
  • Cooperatively assist and support other bank activities and complete other projects and requirements as assigned
Desired Skills and Experience -
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Professional experience in banking, real estate, commercial or retail finance desirable but not required.
  • Strong ability to work in a team based environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytic and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Able to research and evaluate data to make informed decisions and solve problems
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Sense of discretion and willingness to maintain strict confidentiality of pertinent and sensitive information
