The Commercial Excellence, Assoc Director (Customer Strategy Frameworks) will be a part of the Commercial Excellence Team with US Oncology Business Excellence. The role will be responsible for the overall vision, roadmap, plan, processes and any operations for the key US Oncology Commercial Frameworks including (Customer Strategy (Tumor Geo Plans & ONE KAM), Marketing Curriculum, Omnichannel Curriculum, Oncology Playbook and The Oncology Calendar.

This Associate Director will be/become a subject matter expert in their areas of responsibility (above) leading key projects that align functions to these disciplined frameworks. Our goal is to both simplify and accelerate the 'time to market' for which processes, skills, capabilities and relationships effectively get up to speed delivering efficiency while being connected across our commercial teams where there are many (or multiple) people performing similar roles or many roles that collaborate to deliver key capabilities (eg quarterly onboarding and upskilling marketing managers on our AZ Marketing Curriculum; two fold sessions comprised of both new hires/new in role and refresher: new content/capability/changes) across a portfolio of brands and indications.

These frameworks scale to our growth while optimizing the full potential of our resources and brands so that they can deliver optimal capabilities while ensuring success and reducing waste. The role will collaborate with peers and executives across the portfolio shaping success and velocity so that US Oncology strategies (at scale) reach their targeted audiences while also within working environment. The role will work in close partnership with cross functional partners including brand marketing, medical affairs, compliance, training and other internal and external functions, in order to support successful delivery of the said business objective.

This position will also find ways to further mature and enhance their areas of responsibilities; identifying efficiencies, streamlining processes and improving the overall experience and engagement within our business.

The Commercial Excellence, Assoc Director (Customer Strategy Frameworks) will report to the

Director, Commercial Excellence and will be based in Gaithersburg, MD.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for leading Commercial Excellence Oncology Commercial Frameworks as a subject matter expert inculcating the value of the capabilities across the US Oncology Enterprise
  • Responsible for partnering with senior leadership, functional leadership, finance and other business functions to finalize projects and timelines.
  • Responsible for developing and updating the content and processes for the above programs
  • Responsible for developing the training program and guidelines for the frameworks; and training/training the trainers as needed
  • Partner with internal and external vendors and stakeholders to conduct the US OBU Innovation Summit

Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Business, Marketing, other)
  • 3-5 years of Pharmaceutical/Biotech commercial experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in brand marketing, strategic planning, commercial operations, compliance, training or relevant commercially oriented function
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication (written and oral), organizational, relationship building, and consulting skills

Required Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:
  • Enterprise mindset and focus; strong process skills, ability to work in a matrixed organization and manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence with and without authority while also establishing/maintaining credibility with senior individuals/audiences
  • Experience managing and shaping the value of an enterprise capability
  • Experience with managing and/or implementing process improvement methodologies
  • Sound judgment with high integrity
  • Finance experience and understanding of forecasts, budgets, financial processes and tools
