Summary:

The Next Gen ERP Global Commercial Finance Lead will serve as a key member of the Next Gen ERP project team and report to the Finance ERP Lead. From global design through deployment, this individual fills a critical role, partnering with our Commercial teams and Finance colleagues across Zoetis to deliver a transformed business process and technology landscape. This colleague will sit in both the Commercial and Finance workstreams for Next Gen ERP. Key functional areas of focus for this role include alignment of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process with our financial plans, Integrated Business Planning (IBP), customer rebates and sales allowances, revenue recognition, product hierarchy, customer attributes, management reporting and expense management. The Next Gen ERP Global Commercial Finance Lead is empowered to challenge the status quo, drive positive change and make design decisions guided by business value and risk mitigation. This colleague must wear a "One Zoetis" hat and deliver business value that lasts well beyond the Next Gen ERP project, possessing a proven ability to partner and lead across a large multinational organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand, review and approve all Commercial workstream deliverables
  • Ensure that all Finance requirements are considered in the Commercial workstream and incorporated as feasible
  • Challenge the Commercial workstream to maximize our business value and leverage that business value attainment to drive key program decisions
  • Own the finance aspects of the following critical areas: S&OP process with financial forecast alignment, customer rebates and sales allowances, revenue recognition, product hierarchy and customer attributes
  • Support the finance aspects of the following areas: management reporting, financial planning, expense management and IBP intersection
  • Provide critical thought partnership for the Next Gen ERP planning, design, implementation and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with our system integrator to build business processes that leverage industry best practices
  • Maintain continuous lines of communication between the Finance and Commercial workstreams, and with Finance leaders for U.S. Operations and International Operations
  • Collaborate within the Finance workstream to ensure that all finance, accounting and tax implications of Commercial workstream decisions are understood, with risks mitigated and efficiency opportunities seized.
  • Be a key change agent, driving the move to global standard best practice strategies and processes, while identifying transformation and innovation opportunities
  • Collaborate with the Change Management workstream to introduce and manage change for the organization, including end-user training, in a meaningful and balanced way
  • Collaborate on the identification of key finance resources required to participate in the Next Gen ERP project

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. MBA or higher education is a plus.
  • Minimum 20 years professional experience in a finance and/or commercial capacity
  • 12 years plus finance functional experience in a large multinational company
  • Experience working in or serving as finance partner to a commercial business
  • Must be able to engage in the development of commercial strategies and operational execution
  • Ability to drive transformation and act as a change agent in an international, multi-cultural team and organization
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial systems/processes, controls, and ability to translate strategies into financial concepts
  • Ability to conceptualize complex issues, processes or procedures and reach standardized, best practice solutions
  • Experience with Vistex, S4/Hana and transition from SAP ECC is a plus
  • Experience in process design and/or product management preferred
