Description:
Role Title: Community Specialist
Duration: 6 +months Contract
Work Location: New York (Fully Remote )
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
• Help build and manage relationships with key community partners in New York
• Secure support from nonprofits for various political advocacy initiatives
• Help design and execute community events (both virtual and in-person)
• Participate in video production projects and work closely with creative agencies
• Assist with social media and website content for Community channels
• Provide support with billing and invoicing for event sponsorships
• Support overall Public Affairs initiatives
Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in communication, Marketing, Political Science or related field.
o 5+ years of relevant experience in the space of public affairs, nonprofits, CSR, public policy, marketing and/or communications within nonprofit, government, transportation, or technology fields
o Strong digital skills with social media experience
o Passionate and knowledgeable about emerging technologies and public affairs engagement
o Collaborative and flexible team player with the ability to exercise good judgment in a rapidly changing and uncertain environment
o Strong public speaking skills
Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:
o Bilingual speaker who knows Spanish, Cantonese or Mandarin (not required but a plus)
