Defense

The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.

Responsibilities

The candidate will apply expertise in computer system Information Assurance to support and maintain complex computer based systems for U.S. Navy Undersea Warfare ranges. Routine tasks will include:

1. Monitor system compliance via provided monitoring tools
2. Implement patches to individual IT equipment as required
3. Perform scans of systems to detect risks and identify solutions for remediation of vulnerabilities
4. Monitor system performance and maintain system availability
5. Implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) on systems as required by received compliance requirements (GFI)
6. Research and prepare supporting IA material for Information Technology Procurement Requests (ITPR) including the preparation and submission of Infrastructure Change Requests (ICRs) and ITPRs.
7. Attend Departmental IA Compliance Trainings in order to be a resource person to the IA Officer
8. Gather data, status reports and equipment information for inputs to the IA Officer in support of the formulation of Departmental IA policy guidance
9. Immediately report any security concerns to the IA Officer

The candidate shall also develop Information Assurance Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages for new and modified IT systems. The candidate will use the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), Nessus vulnerability scanner, and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tools. The candidate audit IA-enabled software in accordance with STIGs. The Contractor shall implement Echelon II Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) recommendations, changes, improvements, etc. to the affected A&A packages.

Qualifications

BS/BA in Computer Sciene or related field and 0-2 years experience. Experience and/or experience plus Associate degree can substitute for degree. Must have Information Assurance Technical Level I certification.

If the position applied to is not located in Colorado, the following information may not apply.Salary Minimum: $40,539.20 Salary Maximum:$86,652.80 The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the Perspecta salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Perspecta's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
