Based in Gaithersburg, this organization is a full-service General Contractor providing construction project solutions across a range of industries, but primarily within the healthcare field with specialist services in diagnostic imaging and medical oncology too. Their project portfolio spans across the DMV - primarily in Maryland, Northern Virginia and the DC Metro area. This General Contractor also takes on projects within Education, Government, Retail, Hospitality, Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences and general commercial interiors.

Your new role

As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for:

• Accurate reporting using Procore on a daily basis
• Coordinating and handling inspections with relevant authorities and subcontractors
• Ensuring safety compliance for all subcontractors and site visitors
• Coordinating with property management and onsite client representatives
• Review and coordination of submittals, contract documents and coordination between trades
• Identifying issues in the field relating to design documents and providing the necessary data/details to the PM for RFIs
• Communicating and coordinating directly with subcontractors for scheduling of works and all deliveries in accordance with site/building regulations & rules
• QC of all installations and ensuring site & subcontractor readiness for inspections
• Adhering to or pushing the construction schedule to try and beat delivery dates
• Development & management of the punchlist throughout the project life cycle
• Providing lookahead schedules for onsite and offsite subcontractors for scheduling

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a construction superintendent - ideally within healthcare, federal and/or commercial sectors
• Proficiency with reading and understanding blueprints, plans and construction documents
• A background working in trades would be highly beneficial.
• A degree in construction or related discipline would be beneficial but not necessary.
• Use/knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel & Project; Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam & Procore

What you'll get in return

Salary between $85-100k dependent on experience
