JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.

The Content Communications Specialist is responsible for researching, utilizing AI tools, and collaborating with the Subject Matter Experts to create high-quality content in various formats for maximum usability with a compelling, consistent voice and tone. This includes creating content for proposals, articles, case studies, white papers, global PowerPoints, and the company website.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Research and create high-quality content, including articles, case studies, white papers, global PowerPoints, website pages, and blogs, ensuring alignment and consistency in messaging, tone, and style.
• Utilizing AI tools such as ChatGPT to write more effectively and efficiently
• Manage and maintain the current proposal content database, ensuring the content is relevant, accurate, and accessible. Providing training and support for internal teams to access and utilize the database.
• Integrate best practices for search engine optimization into writing to drive visibility and engage readers
• Collaborate with marketing team members to align content with the overall content strategy and business objectives
• Proofread and edit content to maintain a high level of accuracy, consistency, and readability.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure content remains relevant and engaging
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Exceptional verbal, proofreading, and writing skills with the ability to adapt content style and tone to resonate with the target audience.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to research, distill, and present information that matches the target audience's needs.
• A demonstrated passion for writing supported by a portfolio and a keen interest in the latest technology trends for content and communications
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate with SMEs and internal stakeholders

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, English, or a related field
• Extensive experience with PowerPoint, Microsoft Office tools, and Google Suite
• Familiarity with content management systems like WordPress
• Proficiency in prompting and navigating AI tools such as ChatGPT
• Minimum of 3 years of professional writing experience for a B2B audience
• Knowledge of SEO best practices, keyword research, and content optimization techniques is desirable
• Logistics experience preferred

ENVIRONMENT:

100% performed in a climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Travel will be (up to 10%) required to support the position's responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
