Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.

The Senior Accounting Analyst is a high performing, self-starter with strong work ethic. This role is responsible for general ledger accounting and financial reporting and analysis in relation to the monthly financial statement close process and the operating companies' financial statement review. Key deliverables include providing accurate, timely and relevant financial reporting and planning and forecasting support to Management. The Senior Financial Analyst is also a finance partner to Operations, IT, Legal, Sales, Treasury, and Corporate and Regional Accounting Teams.

Financial Reporting Essential Functions:

  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries.
  • Provide balance sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations and other supporting schedules.
  • Analyze foreign currency and translation impact on consolidated results.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Other:
  • Document and enforce corporate accounting policies and procedures.
  • Communicate, research, and resolve subsidiary and regional inquiries related to US GAAP and company policy.
  • Coordination of year-end audit with international subsidiaries and regional offices.
  • Collaborate with IT on consolidation and reporting software updates and developments related to system upgrades, financial reporting, and required improvements.
  • Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance.
  • Support regions and subsidiaries on interface of local accounting system to consolidation software and address training needs.
  • Propose process improvement solutions for system applications.
  • Special projects and analysis as assigned

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis in a multi-national company
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

ENVIRONMENT:

100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Travel will be (up to 10%) required in support of the position's responsibilities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and finger to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
