How will you make an impact?

At Thermo Fisher, we understand that we have a unique opportunity and responsibility to use our position to make a positive impact on society- not only by enabling our customers' success, but also through our actions as a company to make the world a better place. To help our stakeholders understand our priorities and progress in creating a brighter future, we are committed to transparent reporting, which is supported by our CSR Associate.

As CSR Associate, you will collaborate with a broad network of internal and external teams to collect, quality check and maintain data that supports our alignment with ESG reporting standards, frameworks and regulations. You will play an active role in compiling detailed information to support various sustainability assessments and public disclosures, including our annual CSR Report. The ideal candidate is perpetually curious! They have a keen eye for precision and consistency and a continuous improvement mindset.

What will you do?

  • Consolidate and validate CSR data from across the company, developing/following detailed processes to effectively collect and manage data, creating dashboards to enable cross-functional visibility, and supporting the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accurate reporting and external communications.
  • Project manage annual, cross-functional reporting processes to compile detailed information for ESG ratings and assessments (CDP, EcoVadis, MSCI) and to align our disclosures with key reporting frameworks and standards (GRI, IFRS, UN SDGs).
  • Support internal stakeholders by conducting landscape assessments and benchmarking analyses across various CSR topics, leveraging desk research and interpretation of AI-driven insights to inform their decision-making.
  • Respond to inbound requests from external stakeholders, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is communicated.
  • Stay up to date on the latest environmental, social, and governance (ESG) trends including shifts in approach for relevant third-party rating and ranking programs.
How will you get there?
  • Bachelor's Degree required; business or sustainability management preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience.
  • Meticulous attention to detail demonstrated in sample work product and communications.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capacity to identify gaps and trends in large data sets and synthesize comprehensive information into actionable insights.
  • Effective organization and project management skills.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to self-direct independent work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; deep Excel and PowerPoint expertise a plus.
  • Eager to learn new platforms and programs that improve knowledge sharing and efficiency.
  • Passionate about Thermo Fisher's Mission and contributions to society and the planet.
  • Curious, resourceful, flexible, continuous learner with a sense of humor.
