The Philadelphia Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

You would be responsible for providing personal/career counseling for students to enhance student employability and to ensure continued enrollment and quantifiable success in the Job Corps program. Identifies and remediates student barriers to success and develops individualized student career educational plans. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.
Serves as Acting Counseling/CPP Manager in Counseling/CPP Managers absence
Responsibilities:

Student Support and Guidance:
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for students, offering counseling services to address personal, academic, and career-related concerns.
- Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to help students develop effective coping strategies and decision-making skills.

Career Development:
- Collaborate with students to explore career goals, assess strengths and interests, and create personalized career plans.
- Conduct workshops and seminars to enhance students' job readiness skills, including resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.

Advocacy and Resource Coordination:
- Advocate for students' needs and collaborate with internal and external resources to provide comprehensive support.
- Assist students in accessing community resources for additional support services.

Mental Health and Wellness Initiatives:
- Implement mental health and wellness programs to promote a positive and resilient community.
- Work closely with other staff members to identify and address mental health concerns among students.

Crisis Intervention:
- Respond promptly and effectively to crisis situations, providing immediate support and coordinating appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with the crisis management team to ensure a safe and secure environment for all students.

Salary and Benefits: - Yearly salary stating at $40,000 - ample room for negotiation based on your qualifications and experience
