Counterparty Intern
This opportunity is a summer internship that will begin on May 16, 2023.

AgFirst Farm Credit Bank, a growing agriculture lender with over $40 billion in assets, has an exciting opportunity available for a Counterparty Assessment Intern. The position will be located in Columbia, SC. The internship experience at the Bank is designed to partner with students by creating a stimulating learning experience through working on real projects that impact the business. Counterparty Intern will focus mainly upon completing an analysis of the financial institutions with which AgFirst does business. This involves assessing corporate financial information, preparing reports and recommendations, as well as presenting findings to Loan Committee. These reports typically address the institution's operations, capital position, asset quality, management, earnings, liquidity, and how they compare amongst their peers.

Upon completion of the counterparty risk assessment project, the Intern may also have an opportunity to perform other tasks typically performed within the Credit Analysis function. This includes credit reviews of Bank portfolio loans. Credit reviews involve analysis of corporate financial statements, running financial models, evaluating collateral, creating peer comparisons, and writing credit narratives.

This position provides great visibility into AgFirst's Capital Markets and Credit Analysis Departments and offers professional growth in a vibrant, team-oriented and engaged corporate culture.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Undergraduate or Graduate student with a background in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of GAAP accounting
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, and proven organizational and problem solving skills
• Proficient in Excel and Word
