Arm's design center is located in Austin, one of the top tech hubs in the US. Here you will join a small, rare, yet hardworking RTL design team developing the next generation of Arm A-Class microprocessors. This team will enable you to contribute in all aspects of the microprocessor life cycle while meeting the demands of the market.

Based on groundbreaking technologies and methodologies, you will ensure the highest quality of products as you collaborate with other Arm engineering teams to build complete IP solutions. As a CPU Design Engineer, you will own and develop CPU micro-architecture, handle Verilog RTL logic design and debug, as well as work closely with engineers across all platforms to meet all functional requirements, performance, power, and area goals.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • You graduated from a University with a Masters' in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Possess a proven 5 years of post-degree work experience in processor RTL and micro-architecture design (think senior/staff types)
or
  • You may possibly substitute a demonstrated minimum experience of 9 years along with a Bachelors' in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • The ability to travel occasionally for training and customer meetings
"Nice To Have" Skills and Experience :
  • Domain expertise in various logic areas of CPU micro-architecture design
  • RTL design for multi-threaded, low power microprocessors
  • Hands-on experience using Verilog or VHDL HDL for design
  • Crafting synthesis targeted to achieve specific power, frequency, and area targets
  • Scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.)
