Critical Facilities Engineer
Job Description Summary
Under the general direction of the Chief Engineer, Critical Facilities, the Critical Engineer performs repairs, corrective maintenance, inspections, and complex installations at a critical facility. The Critical Engineer must be able to assess risk and possess functional knowledge on a variety of equipment including, but not limited to, HVAC, electrical, diesel generators, building automation, and more.
Job Description
Essential functions and responsibilities
- Performs site inspections and monitors the building automation system.
- Performs preventative maintenance on site infrastructure.
- Performs troubleshooting on site infrastructure as well as corrective repairs.
- Manages on-site vendors.
- Completes site logs of operating equipment.
- Completes work requests according to SLA requirements.
- Manages and assists with the completion of projects.
Reporting relationshipRole will report to the following:
•Chief Engineer, Critical FacilitiesMetricsRole will be evaluated on the following:
- Adherence to approved process and procedures
- Adherence to all applicable safety standards
- Completion of assigned tasks
- Ability to understand and mitigate risk associated with operations
- Customer service quality provided to client
Key Competencies
- Technical expertise in equipment related to critical infrastructure.
- An understanding of risk management and operational expectations within a critical environment.
- An expectation of self-motivation and a high degree of integrity.
Important education- A high school diploma is required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred
Important experience- A minimum of 3+ years of prior work experience
additional eligibility qualifications- Will need to work flexible hours, including holidays, off-hours, and weekends.
WORK ENVIRONMENTThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
