Job Summary
- Under the Direction of The Administrative Director and Technical Manager/Supervisor, the Staff Technologist provides patient services using a variety of imaging modalities and radiographic procedures.
- The CT Technologist performs CT imaging according to established protocol to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician.
- They must demonstrate an understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.
- One must maintain knowledge in radiation protection and safety.
- Preparation and administration of contrast media is performed in accordance with hospital policy.
- The use of critical thinking, professional and ethical judgment is to be demonstrated in the quality of care delivered.
Qualifications
Education Requirements
- 2 year/Associate Degree
- ARRT Certification
- BLS Certification
