Licensed Customer Service Representative, Employee Health & Benefits (30 hours/week)
Position Overview:

What can you expect to do?

  • Respond to both standard and more difficult customer inquiries regarding various benefit products and services via email and phone
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls with client retail owners and/or their HR administrative staff
  • Answer, document, and monitor call center calls, emails, and transactions. Research to respond to customer inquiries.
  • Respond formally to correspondence, either verbally or in writing, utilizing all reference material necessary to provide an informed response to the customer.
  • Request additional/missing information from the customer via written or verbal communication.
  • Document client issues and escalate issues to appropriate parties to resolve (e.g. Internal Consultants, Third Party Technology Vendor, Insurance carriers, etc.)
  • Manage administrative and renewal forms from client retail owners, communicate and coordinate with our internal MMA team on renewal actions
  • Assist with completion of benefit guides and distribution to clients
  • Other responsibilities may include basic Excel tasks such as: contribution modeling, using ACA affordability calculator, rate compliance calculator, filter/sort data, vlookups
  • Experience with Excel, Smartsheet, or project management tracking tools a plus but not required

What do we look for?
  • Prior experience working with employee benefits and knowledge of various lines of insurance coverage; medical, dental, life, STD, LTD, design, rate structures, etc.
  • Life & Health Licensure or willingness to obtain within 30 days
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all levels of internal staff & management, external clients, prospects and vendors
  • At least one year of proven customer service or sales experience. 6 months of experience using MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience with Smartsheet and Canva preferred
