SUMMARY

The Cybersecurity Systems Engineer III is responsible for analyzing, designing and documenting high quality technical solutions in line with the business requirements.

*This position requires a TS/SCI clearance*

IAM III Certification required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for the integration of CNI Core Competencies into daily functions, including: commitment to integrity, knowledge/quality of work, supporting financial goals of the company, initiative/motivation, cooperation/relationships, problem analysis/discretion, accomplishing goals through organization, positive oral/written communication skills, leadership abilities, commitment to Affirmative Action, reliability/dependability, flexibility and ownership/accountability of actions taken.

Providesengagement with external and internal resources to review, support, and monitor:

  • Incident Reporting/Tracking/Post-Mortem
  • Coordination of Penetration Testing/Red Team Engagements/Tabletop Exercises

Provides prioritization of efforts through threat informed intelligence and reporting.

Directs engagement with CYBERCOM, DISA J34, Department of Defense Information Networks-Joint Forces Head Quarters (DODIN-JFHQ), Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP), and C2.

Enforces the design and implementation of trusted relations among external systems and architectures.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.

Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance with all applicable rules (federal, state, local, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Code of Federal Regulations, Prime Contract requirements, etc.) for themselves and the company as a whole.Fosters an environment in which they will reportanyviolations or reasonably suspected violation of CNI policy, FAR, and/or CFR and are comfortable discussing the myriad compliance, conflict, FAR, CFR, etc. issues that arise during the performance of a government contract.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

BA/BS and a minimum of five (5) years in Computer Science or related field or in an engineering related discipline or twelve (12) years of recent relevant experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION

TS/SCI Required.

IAM III Certification required.

JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

Advanced understanding of distributed systems via on prem, cloud native or hybrid computing.

Familiarity with systems management concepts, processes and standards, capacity and performance management and tuning, and storage and network management.

Good understanding of infrastructure: AD, DNS, firewalls, load balancers, routing, switching, etc.

Experience in building applications using languages.

Experience in database systems.

Experience in working with microservices and containerization, including virtualization, orchestration, cluster management, and container storage.

Experience with scripting languages.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
