Rincon Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Data Visualization Designer to join our growing IT team! This role leverages data design, software integration, and modeling techniques to produce visually stunning, interactive data visualizations to facilitate navigation of data and insights. In conjunction with department and service line leads of the company this role helps market, innovate, and support multiple organizational initiatives.

As Data Visualization Designer, you will innovatively display and uncover patterns in data through interactive marketing materials and compelling dashboards across the organization. This individual must be comfortable working with partner teams, conducting both planned and ad hoc analyses, developing dashboards, and communicating insights to a variety of audiences. To excel in this role, the candidate should complement their analytical skills with a technical understanding of digital ecosystems and be versed in multiple data systems (i.e. SQL, MS Power Platform, Tableau, ERP's, etc.).

What Do You Get To Do In This Position:

• Generate data visualizations and cross-functional reports that convey key performance metrics, significant trends, and relationships across multiple data sources leveraging business intelligence tools
• Integral in the design and implementation of a data visualization strategy for the organization through collaboration with service line and operational unit leads
• Develop recommendations to enhance automation and efficiency in reporting
• Partner with business units and external stakeholders to define KPIs, build ad-hoc and recurring reports, and visualized output
• Serve as a business intelligence point of contact for operational departments colleagues (Marketing, Accounting, and Graphics)
• Help identify success metrics, and promote data-driven decisions
• Dive deep into available data using SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Python or other data analysis tools
• Build aggregate datasets that underlay insights and visualizations; have a strong point of view on what data to prioritize

This Job Might Be For You If You Have The Following:

• Bachelor's Degree, MS or greater in quantitative field of study such as Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, etc. or equivalent experience
• Experience in business or marketing analytics delivering business intelligence and dashboard solutions with deep working knowledge of querying, visualizing, and presenting data
• Experience as a data engineer associated with data mining, processing (e.g. SQL, Excel), and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
• Proven skills building responsive data visualizations; able to develop testing plans and frameworks and synthesize results of complex data-mining efforts to share with non-technical audience
• Ability to tell a story with data using multiple and disparate data sets, sources, formats, etc.
• Excellent presentation skills and ability to confidently interface with stakeholders and all levels of the organization
• Proven track record of balancing multiple projects at once and delivery of projects successfully on time
• Ability to think strategically and creatively
• Experience using R/Python in data-focused full stack environments (from data wrangling, to analysis, to visualizations) is a plus
• Highly detail oriented, strong technical intuition, organized and collaborative
• Experience with front-end frameworks/languages a plus
• Passion for ongoing learning and ability to successfully operate in a dynamic fast-paced environment
