PURPOSE/RESPONSIBILITY: Reports to and supports the Training Specialist in the coordination of all training activities and training materials specific to assigned department needs in compliance with our training policy. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: "* Role model for C.I.T.E. principles. * Conduct technical training and development of departmental employees. * Learn all aspects of each job in assigned department(s). Employee must be able to see different characteristics in wood products. * Effectively communicate with Training Team and Supervisors on employee training within the department. * Assist in the revision of Departmental Standard Work Packages and Training Programs. * Assist in the development and maintenance of Departmental Visual Factories. * Support front desk during break/lunch and in absence of receptionist. * Complete cross-training requirements to be able to perform the essential functions of positions in client/provider departments. * Must be able to understand and follow general safety instructions for a manufacturing environment and any specific safety instructions for this position. * Be present for regularly scheduled shift work. * Work together with team members to meet production goals. The employee is required to speak and communicate with other employees SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities GENERAL REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. General Requirements: * MOST IMPORTANT: Utilize adult learning principles to present technical and general training in classroom and production environment. * Certified Peer Trainer (CPT) or be able to obtain CPT certification. * Able to learn and use software to create and edit training documents and presentations. * Possess the ability to learn and facilitate all technical courses related to departmental needs. * Self-motivated. * Willing to work flexible hours when warranted to satisfy the departmental training needs. * Maintain confidentiality if given Protected Health Information (PHI) by co-workers while covering for the receptionist. * Knowledge of principles and processes for providing high quality customer and personal services. Education, Experience and Skills * High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) is required. * Minimum of 1 year of training/manufacturing experience is recommended. * Possess effective written and oral communication skills. * Ability to function independently without direct supervision and as part of a team. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents such as but not limited to training documents, standard work documents, etc. Ability to listen and communicate effectively with co-workers. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions used with tape measures. Other mathematical skills may be required. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw reasonable conclusions through critical thinking skills.
