Join our dynamic Earthmoving Engineering team as a Design Engineer specializing in Light Structures and Non-metallic design .

In this role, you'll have the chance to hone your engineering expertise while focusing on the development and implementation of cutting-edge components such as, enclosures, covers, tanks, fenders, platforms, ladders, and walkways in addition to their integration on motor grader products. Your primary goal will be to meet the diverse needs of both internal and external customers, all while ensuring we maintain high standards of efficiency, cost-effectiveness, quality across our motor grader product line.

What You Will Do:

  • Spearhead the conceptualization and design process to meet project objectives, leveraging your innovation thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Take charge of developing light structure and non-metallic designs, demonstrating your expertise in mechanical engineering principles.
  • Assess the performance of existing production designs, pinpointing areas for enhancement and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for delivery of specific design tasks, effectively collaborating with other engineering teams to optimize project outcomes.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing virtual analysis to predict design robustness in addition to weight and cost optimization.
  • Utilize CREO to seamlessly integrate your designs, showcasing your proficiency in CAD software.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with value stream partners, contributing to the delivery of superior products through effective communication and teamwork.
What You Have (Basic Qualifications):
  • Degree Requirement: Bachelors in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum. (Strong preference for a mechanical engineering degree)
  • Analytical Thinking : Showcase a strong aptitude for analytical thinking, demonstrating your ability to approach and solve complex engineering problems with a methodical and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Effective Communications: Highlight your effective communication skills, both written and verbal, emphasizing your ability to convey technical concepts clearly and collaborate seamlessly within a team environment.
  • Technical Excellence : Illustrate your progressive technical knowledge, particularly in the utilization of Creo or other 3D design software for creating integrated component designs. Emphasize your grasp of design principles and your eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic engineering environment.
Top Candidates Will Have :
  • Strong analytical thinking skills, capable of dissecting complex problems and developing innovative solutions.
  • Possess technical excellence in mechanical engineering principles and practices, with a track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Experience in product testing methodologies, including the ability to design and execute comprehensive test plans.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently, employing systematic approaches to identify and resolve challenges effectively.
